Just grabbed it. Couldn't pass up the 99 cents price tag. I almost bit when it first came out. Glad I waited. Thanks OP!

Same, though I hope IAP doesn't ruin the experience for me. Hearing mixed reviews about that.

Exactly the same question crossing my mind. I wanted to get this game when it first came out, but I went against buying the game. I had a game similar on my iPod. Doodle Army. That game is sort of this game. I would try that game.

Hmm... What's with Chillingo dropping their prices lately? You'd think that with their status even 2.99$ games would sell?

Seems pretty typical of them, really. They usually give their games about 2-4 weeks before either dropping the price or going free. My guess is their strategy is phased, going ad-based after a certain period. Keep in mind, their parent company is EA now, so a lot of that is probably mandated through them.

Checked out a couple reviews on youtube - the game seems IAP heavy.

To be quite honest, I don't really mind IAP. IAP games are usually really good. I've played this game that is free to play and download and has IAP, and you do not need to buy these extra gameplay enhancers to actually play the game.
