I deleted the game within two hours of downloading it as I could see a paywall running up toward me at full speed and I didn't want to run face first into it.
I would MUCH rather, in a game like this, pay and be done with it and have optional IAP later on. Much like ORC. Now, if ORC were to play this fast and furious... THAT would be a game I would gladly pay out for. I see this paywall becoming very expensive very quickly.
The, you can't go much further without starting to invest in your gear (not unlocking the game), pay mechanic is very much over for me and I won't continue supporting these kinds of games.
Challenge to Chillingo or Glu: Make a game that mixes the story and writing of a game like ORC (a great diablo type) with the fast and furious action and visceral blood and guts of Eternity Warriors 2. No pay wall, just option in game currency.

It's Glu, so i guess assuming there is a paywall is normal, but i have put some time into this and still no paywall. The loots are still getting better and better. And they balance out the increase in difficulty in the later levels. The weapons being suggested and offered right before the mission starts usually kills all non-bosses in that mission in 2 hits. That means if you have a weapon that is at least half in attack value as that, you will have a good chance of completing the quest.
Also, once you learn how to effectively use Parry, fighting bosses 1v1 isnt too difficult. Because of the parry system, im sure the paywall, if there ever is one, will occur very late in the game.
