Is my game broken? Game crashed once and I had negative food and wood suddenly. Didn't think it was a big deal as I could earn it back but I can't buy upgrades anymore either...

Sorry to do this, but can somebody link to some strategy ideas? I kinda suck at this game.

I'm mostly upgrading swords and staves first, and grabbing a bunch of the xp things at the training center. But I still suck! Tips?

Grind some money on lower levels for upgrades.
Use items from pink bags.

Spiky armor and Turtle perks, armor bonus (damage reduction) grants more time to think, so I've picked them.
