Games You've Sunk Lots of Time Into

I'm looking for some obscure (non-mainstream) games that can give a lot of playtime, much more than your average game.

Some of mine include:
  • Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter
  • Jet Car Stunts (kinda unsure whether this would be considered "obscure", though)
  • PathPix
  • Payback
  • Solomon's Boneyard

Mission Europa
TouchGrind BMX
Jetpack Joyride
Monsters Ate My Condo
Game Dev Story
Adventure Bar Story

EDIT: I just realized that you said "non-mainstream" and the games that I've listed are pretty mainstream. Sorry.

I'm ashamed to say how many hours I put into Battle Nations and Gun Bros.

Triple Town, Dungeon Raid and Infinity Blade II I have no issues admitting to.

Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7
Modern Combat 3
+ how can I forget Junk Jack!!

Temple Run, fruit ninja and tiny wings are the games I don't play for long but I usually come back to it time to time.

Edit: I made the same mistake as the other guy, mostly mainstream.

Other than freemium games like dragonvale,
I think the most time I spent on a iOS game would be Junk Jack.

Gameplay is pretty much endless. I used to play it all night long.

Basically a minecraft on 2d type game.

Otherwise I'd reccomemd some RPGs like the already mentioned, adventure bar story.

If you like puzzle games these games have SO many levels, I've played many hours and not even halfway through: cross fingers, flow, seven little words, frankenword, hairy balls, beyond yth, move the box, grooh, wriggle, colorbind.
If I had to only recommend five of the best of that list: grooh, colorbind, wriggle, beyond yth (puzzle platformer) and hairy balls because it's completely free, you only pay for hints which aren't needed, of you have a logic mind.

You said obsure and unknown, one comes to mind, there's a lite version too, called "trundle"
It has a dark art style like world of goo or contre jour, it's quite abstract and dark, your a wheel rolling around dark levels, needing to find out how to get to the exit to continue your journey. - I got stuck so I stopped playing, but it's a great abstract puzzle platformer, if you like world of goo you'll like it

Oh yes! Definitely Eden! Love that game.

Also Miss Claire Garden! I used to play that a lot. Great platformer!
