Requires 5.1 now? Uncool. From the buzz and positive reviews surrounding this one it might be worth updating.

^yeah... I was forced to update to 5.1.1 when this was released. Invader Hunter is too good to pass up if it was just the firmware holding you back.

Why wouldn't you upgrade to the latest OS version anyways? Jailbroken systems?

Game seems cool. Not really into these arena style shooters, and you only fight bosses it looks like? For 99cents I might try.

Bought, like it. My monster hunter experience is limited to tri but I can say it is similar to and definitely inspired by the series. As has been said, a simplified mobile version, how mh on iOS should have been.
Can anyone say about how many unique enemies there are? So far I'm on rate 3 and have seen a lot of repeats already but still having a good time.
I do wish the equipment system was deeper. Maybe I haven't gotten far enough but as of yet there's no upgrading equipment, only buying new pieces. And it would me nice if there were some varied weapon styles, melee, rapid firing, etc... maybe in a sequel!

Axe Rose, Polluted Axe, Burall, Black Burall, Golem, Huge Golem, Alien, Undead, Saurus, Lake, Zeus.

These are all i remember of the enemies. There are color variants which names i forgot so it's a handful of monsters too.

Bought! This makes up for the fact Bike Baron jumped up in price today (I thought I already owned BB, but I just had the demo).

Any advice for a first time Invader Hunter?

Here some advice...

Learn the controls... The controls require a bit to get used to, but they work well.

You can use some walls and other background elements as cover.

Try out the elemental bullets. Some are more effective on certain Invaders than most.

And most importantly, dont be greedy with attacks. Try to learn the Invader's movements and attacks so you will know when to aim and fire your shots.
