Being an artist I can appreciate the effort that went into this game!!
Watched the video and really liked what I saw Need some impressions on controls Just one thing that bothers a tiny bit is when you collect each star you hear the girl say "great or some other word and that might get old fast Great effort Devs!!! |

Terrific art, but from what I could tell from the video no gameplay to match. Seriously considering it for the art alone.

Been playing this game more today and I'm impressed
The artwork is unique and the storyline has heart beyond your typical app game Even in the first world level four when the gas giants and aliens come into play the difficulty ramps up! This game will test a gamers finesse and patience but all in a good way! Highly recommend this game and can't wait to challenge the various levels Congrats to the Devs for creating a enjoyable experience

Ok gang, picked this up a few days ago and finally got a minute to play it...
IDK about anyone else, but with all the shooting, killing, smashing, and bleeding that happens in many of my games, I need games that are, well, softer, to balance out my choices. Imagine a game kind of like Asteroids, kind of like Osmos, only absolutely nothing like either of those, and you start understanding Space Girl. The game also makes me think of the musical group "Belle and Sebastian" for some reason... Personally, I think the devs could market this game as a stress reliever and make a killing. The object is blissfully simple, collect stars to progress. Impeding your progress are asteroids that you can't shoot, at least not during the five levels (out of over 200) I've played so far, and trust me, that's a very, very good thing. The hearts are kind of like bumpers to be used strategically to avoid the asteroids and assist you in getting to the stars, and ultimately to the worm holes that allow you to leave the level. That is the game. Collect hearts, avoid asteroids. As I said, blissfully simple. Here's the part that should and will ultimately sell the game... Remember my comment about "Belle and Sebastian?" If you don't know about them, their music has a certain chilled out vibe that is hard to describe and hard to forget once you've heard it. This game has a vibe with similar traits... hard to describe and hard to forget once you've played it. The art is beautiful. The sounds are beautiful. The whole package just has this sense of, "I hope I do well, but if I don't? Meh. I can always try again..." As I said, stress reliever app... If I have one quibble, and I guess I kind of do, the female voice is awesome, very soothing, and perfect for the game, but the repetition of the same words over and over again is already a little tough. I find myself wishing she would say something else, because I really do like her voice, but I'm quickly growing tired of hearing her say the same word over and over again in such rapid succession... Overall impression? If the art appeals to you via the screenshots, it's only going to get better, and if you like the art, the rest of the game matches the art perfectly. DBC |
