We're definitely taking notes. We'll try to consider a setting for righties.

Regarding the black bar on iPad. This was actually a big debate when deciding the port the game over. As you are maybe aware by now, Wizorb was released on Xbox, PC, Mac and Linux. The iDevices' screen resolution doesn't match our other versions. We really wanted to keep the same levels so since our game doesn't scroll we had to settle for a bar on the bottom. Which has it's purpose since you do have to touch the bottom of the screen to control the paddle. But I agree with you that it's not the most appealing solution.

Feel free to give us suggestions on how we can improve the game a bit.
Thanks!
Maybe a solution is to bring all the game a little bit down, on the ipad, so we'll have a small (1cm) bar on the top and the bigger down (it will give a cinematic feeling (16:9) and will reduce the huge down bar). And of course the right hand issue (i notice again on the iPad that the buttons are really small, i would prefer then bigger for better and quicker access).. Awesome work guys!!! Wish you good sales!

Hmm, I may have jumped on this one too quickly instead of reading up on it. I just finished my first play through, had a rough time getting used to using my finger as the controller, and ended up running out of continues by world 1-10. Instead of paying the 250 gold to continue further, I opted to go back to the village. That's where I discovered none of the progress I made in playing through to 1-10 seemed to have made any difference. I am back to the original 300 gold I started the game with.

I'll continue playing, but I was rather discouraged by this. RPGs typically are about progress, so even if you don't defeat everything you still get to keep what you've earned. The concept of only being able to keep your earnings if you complete the entire world in this game was a little shocking. Imagine crawling through a dungeon in an RPG and failing to kill the final boss, so you lose all the gold, xp, and items you earned fighting up to him! That's pretty much how I felt with my first foray into Wizorb.

Oh, and I agree that a d-pad for the overworld parts of the game area must. Walking around is definitely doable as it is currently, but it is awkward.

Liking the game so far, but the controls really are killing it for me. As others have said, a d-pad for the overworld would be wonderful. The black bar doesn't bother me as much, but the placement of the buttons does. Way too small, and awkwardly placed. I died far too many times reaching for them and missing by misjudging them. That and they're on the right side, forcing me to move the paddle with my left hand, making me feel even more uncoordinated. But I'm glad to see that the devs are here and are working on it, it gives me hope that these things will be fixed. Once they are, this game will probably be one of my favorites.

If anyone is playing this on a ipod touch, I'd enjoy hearing how the performance is. Is the text still easily readable on the smaller screen?

Wizard_Mike: Does the game feature any kind of save option?

Yeah, I was actually going to save and come back to it later, but when I selected "save & quit" from the pause menu it said progress in this level would reset and my score for the whole world would reset, so I kept going. When I failed later on and was at the continue screen, I selected "save & quit" and it told me all progress for the world would reset, so I hit continue and kept going.

Once I ran out of the free continues, I selected "go back to village," which did not bring up any warnings of lost progress and just sent me back to the village, resetting my gold.

Hey ,awesome to see you on the forum here.
I'm no developer so i don't know how hard it is to implement but adjustable controls would be very much appreciated, that way all will be happy as you can set the buttons to your own liking.
Great game!

Guess I'll wait for a controls update before playing. Learned my lesson after playing Cthulhu Saves the World with the initial controls and stopped. I didn't have any motivation to continue playing.

Was just gonna jump on this, but glad I read the posts here (like usual) regarding the control issues previously stated, so I'm gonna stay away from this one at least for now.
