I hate games with iaps. But this one!!! Oh god really well done to the devs so well made FREE game with the option of a very cheap iap. I paid 1.99 just because the devs are so true when they say you can finish the game with or without iaps. It is true. But i felt almost embarassed not paying for such a great game. Shame on other devs trying to steal from us. Well done to these devs here who surprised me in a very positive way.

Me too. I remember being kinda fascinated with The Killer Bean back then. The guy that made this did the pre viz for the cow fight on Kung-Pow. Now I gotta look back into Killer Bean and see what else he's finished.

Thanks sakara214ever, for the kind words! We defintely read a lot of the Touch Arcade forums while we were developing our game. So we got a sense of what people like and dislike about paid vs free games, and how people feel about IAP's.

So we're trying out a "capped" IAP policy for our games. Basically with the highest priced IAP, you own the game. With lower priced IAP's, you can get pretty far depending on how good you are. And if you want to try to finish the game without any purchases, you can do that. You just have to kill a lot of bad beans.

For us, it's still pretty early to see if we can survive on this model or not, but we know it's best not to make anyone mad when we're just starting out.
