Default Playing modern games on iPad

I can play lots of 80's and early 90's arcade games on my iPad but can't play games like the Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 games, NBA Hangtime, etc...

Is the reason for this because the iPad has an A5X chip, and will these games run perfectly if the next iPad has an A6 chip?

Reason is that those games needs a) a better hardware than current iPad one b) an optimized emulator for those games.
The iPad 3 still uses a dual core, lower clocked around 1ghz. Mk 2/3 and other midway games that uses the same driver needs much more processing power (CPU) to run these games properly. It's not a matter of how many cores you have, it's always the same rule that happens on desktop mame builds: you need a fast CPU, like a dual core clocked above 1.5ghz at least.
MameReloaded lacks the needed optimization a but as the creator said a few times, what we need is faster hardware, instead of going mad into optimizing the code of the emulator.
You can still play those games with snes and md emus (not hang time tho), and if a psx emu that works would existed, play psx versions of them.
So far the only "complete" emulator machine would be a good powered android device since it emulates everything and with better speeds than apple products.
