The first update has been submitted, with game center and a few other graphical fixes and updated helpfiles and so on. With any luck it will be approved this week!
Yes its already hard enough 😄
Cool to see the update submitted, this game needs more exposure, one thing... What about the room placement? Its included in the fix?

We are finishing up the new room placement system now. We didn't include it in this update because we didn't feel it was quite ready! So if all goes well we will submit it really soon.

The biggest part of the new update is definitely game center. We also included a few tweaks to the tutorial, text, and some better placement graphics, but the wonky placement was a different issue that we wanted to concentrate on separately.

Apologies for splitting it into two different updates, it was the only way that we were able to focus on getting both of them right

But, fingers crossed, I think we've got it. JonBro can post more details here about the new placement system if you all are interested, but suffice to say that early tests say that it "IS AWESOME". woooo!

Thanks for your patience, everyone! We are really excited to get it out there.

Yeah, the new placement system snaps rooms to the nearest edges rather than magnet-ting them into the center of the building. It allows you to drop rooms into really tight spots, and you can also build more griddy buildings if you like.

We are working on optimizing the speed of it, but hopefully it will be ready to send out to testers today.

Am I correct to assume that based on amazingrolo's post above, a grid-like (room snapping based on corners?) room placement will be implemented? While I am enjoying the game as it is right now, I think this would be a lot better. Thanks and glad to see the game is getting support and updates.

It isn't exactly snapping to a grid, but it makes it way easier to build grid structures. I think you will really like it.

Here it is in action. I sorta had to intentionally make it this griddy, but it was pretty easy to do.

I love this game!

But I think I've reached my stuck point. Level 3.3
I have tried every configuration I can think of but I cannot beat this level. I cant even get to the halfway mark! The little freeze towers are nigh useless once that big wave comes down from the sky they are so outnumbered. Anybody got any tips? I think I've played thus level almost 100 times now.

Damn, that's some awesome dedication right there. Okay, spoiler alert! Here's a tip for that level.

•••Spoiler:
1. Build 5 $400 rooms around your hotel. Pack them in nice and tight.
2. Build a couple of healing rooms underneath the hotel, where the bad guys can't get them.
3. put some freeze rooms underground as well. They shoot far.

Once you've got that, use the $200 rooms to take out enemies, almost as ammunition. Approach them as being totally expendable - your $400 rooms will be pulling in loads of cash so you can build up high to catch the balloons from far away.

Let us know how you get on!

I should also say that the new placement mechanic we've worked out might make a some of these levels easier for some people, though YMMV.
