Looks like they added inapps to the update. Hmmm... They are getting a lot of heat in their reviews. Since I got all the angry birds games, I hope they don't add inapps to all of them especially angry birds space. Seems like all Chillingo games are going inapps or freemiums nowadays. Sigh... Wouldn't be surprised one bit, if in one month it is freemium.

They used to be such a great company, guess being bought out by Electronic Arts has changed their business techniques. Oh well...

As far as I know, the only thing the in-apps will affect is the scoreboard, for those who keep track of that type of thing. It's still the same, playable game otherwise, except now there are cheats there for those who can't 3-star on their own. I haven't heard that they've 'hardened up' existing levels, nor made new ones that require the use of in-apps to win.

No they haven't hardened it, they just make the game easier with powerups and the ability to buy these via inapps. This is fine I suppose except for people who care about leaderboards, etc.

Usually companies harden games when they make them freemium, so that is what I was more worried about. In the past 3 months, it just seems like there is a big trend in freemium conversions, ads, and inapps.

Anyway, I don't really care about angry birds cause I rarely play it. Funny thing is I bought all of the different versions, man, they got great marketing. My sister likes it a lot, so I guess I got value in it cause she plays it sometimes on my new ipad.

Good solid game, recommended, just hope it doesn't convert to freemium with ads one day like on Android!
