Hey, I'm looking for a good free video editor, but can't seem to find any good ones... It doesn't have to be fancy, just something simple enough to replace Windows Movie Maker. Anyone know of a few good open source video editors for Windows? Thanks! :D

Windows? Why not edit the video on your iPhone/iPod touch? There's quite a few free video editing apps out there.

Virtuadub is really the only thing that comes to mind for me personally

It's not that simple though so might not be a good choice, people tend to use it more for encoding than editing in truth but it's capable enough.

avidemux is another but most of what I said above is true for it as well.

Just out of interest why are you moving away from microsofts movie maker as far as I know it's still free and probably a good bit easier than the ones I mentioned.

A lot of companies offer free trials, not sure if you need a longer term solution but Avid and Adobe Premier offer 30 day free trials and they're excellent programs.

Hmm... Thanks for all the suggestions guys!

So, which is the best (and least expensive) video editing app on the App Store?

Thanks! I checked it out, and yeah it is pretty sweet. Looks like there's no way to delete audio from video clips, though... Anyone know of any apps that can do this?
