They won't learn until users stop playing freemium games that require an "always on" internet connection and a Facebook account.

We brought this on ourselves by downloading everything that's free and letting ourselves get suckered into consumable IAPs.

As a rule, I don't download anything that's free anymore, unless it's a sale. I'm sure there's some good free stuff out there (Tiny Tower, I'm looking at you) but it's just not worth the trouble it takes to find it.

Ha I hope no-one spent too much time developing this.

Agreed, just found this out myself. Game so far after about an hour is really fun with lots to do.

I don't mind the Facebook part, if it's fun I'll play it. So far I like it.

Talk about a buzzkill.
Oh come on. King's Bounty is fantastic on PC. What a shame it had to go down like this on iOS. This thing will flop.

I deleted my Facebook account long ago and the pleasure of never again having to deal with that shitstorm of a social network is worth more than all games that require it to play and then some.

Loved KB on PC, even made a bunch of mods for it, but my distaste for Facebook > than any game, even one I love.

After having played a bit, here are some early impressions:

Facebook is indeed necessary, but it's not too bad since you can just deny the app from doing anything, and it will still accept registration. There is some singleplayer quests, but the real challenge is in multiplayer. The combat is well done, and performs as expected of a King's Bounty game.

However, this is definitely a freemium game. There is the usual push on overpriced Gems and laborious gameplay without them. Plus, there is also an Energy system that limits your activity.

At least it's not another city-building "Ville" game, but it's still nowhere near what it could have been if it was a full King's Bounty game. My advice is to just pick up the PC versions instead.

Playing: Pocket Mine 2, Terra Battle
Waiting:Last Class Heroes, Chaos Rings 3, Starships

Yep I'd like to play also Facebook. In no way do I want to join Facebook.

just out of protest I won't be buying any of their next/other games also. Douchebags.

If only they just port over the PC version.

Almost no description. Supports Ipad retina resolution?
Also just make a facebook account you solely use for this matter. Did the same for Infinity Blade 2

Such a shame, reading this thread. King's Bounty is one of my favourite PC games ever.

I'm hanging out for Might and Magic Clash of Heroes even more now, I guess.

(and when the hell is that coming!? Its a port of a game that debuted on a touchscreen device and the ios version got a trailer 2 months ago... nothing about it since from Ubisoft.)
