I didn't notice that. That's unfortunate. I really don't want this discussion to get mixed up with a piracy discussion. I care much more about those of us who dropped $18-20.

Nothing you can do will make the game playable on the iPod touch. That's purely a ram issue, and many games won't work on the iPod touch. But yeah, you should still be able to install your (legally purchased) iPhone version on the iPad by removing the camera requirement.

I might have to try it myself later.

It was then I discovered that it wasn't compatible with the iPod Touch, so yes, I then went to I********s (yes, I have it and I do occasionally pirate other apps) and then downloaded the IPA. Before I installed, I then copied the pirated IPA to my computer just in case and deleted the useless IPA from iTunes knowing that I could not transfer it via iTunes, but I would still be able to download it from iTunes if needed. So yes, I too lost $18 and I'm trying to figure out a way to get it to work on my iPod. I thought that a game like TWEwY was actually so good when I first played it on my friend's DS that I felt like supporting the devs and paying for it for once.

Would you like to hear the story of my entire life now? :P
Admitting to piracy is never going to make you look good. But either way, it's just not going to be playable on an iPod touch. If you really bought it, ask Apple for a refund.

A friend of mine contacted Apple for a refund, Yeah like so many iPod owners who blindly purchased the game and rated it 1 star and he's still waiting for their reply, wondering if they'll accept to refund him

I think you should complain to Apple about it. If people are silent (other than complaining about it on a forum Apple doesn't care about), nothing gets done. Make a ruckus. Use whatever means are available to App Store customers to make your voice heard where it needs to be heard.

That's what I think.

Yeah, simplest way for all you who bought it and feel ripped off is just to demand a refund and state a lot of evidence brought up here. Since I am an ipad and iphone user, I hope you all win.

It is very greedy for a company to make games locked out in 2x mode. Especially when the game is $20. It's one thing for them to not release an universal version, but it's pretty unethical to cripple the compatibility like they have.

As the others have stated, make a stand for us all, demand a refund and site all the evidence listed in the thread. Let us know if it works and what Apple says. Hopefully they will do something. It would really suck to lose 2x mode on the ipad if other companies follow suit.

If Apple receives a lot of complaints they might force Square Enix to unlock the iPhone version on iPad, I doubt it though

Well, problem is I bought the iPad version. I bought it in part because the iPhone version didn't work on iPad, so I still feel ripped off, but it means I can't request a refund because mine works per the App Store rules.

Is there another complaint mechanism I could be using?
