I think the best list will have to include at least one platformer, an RPG, a couple casual games (like fruit ninja or extinction squad, where a brain isnt necessary, lol), an action game, a game your girlfriend loves, couple games that you always play despite being old games, one endless Temple-Run-clone runner, a puzzle game, an HdO, and the TA app.

Even though i'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to games, and I don't really delete much unless i'm low on space [have run out of homescreen pages, having to folder everything now ], these are the one's that will be on every iOS device I own [as much as possible]

My own list of permanent games is determined primarily by replay value irrespective of the genre. There are some really excellent games such as Sword & Sworcery, World of Goo, and Mage Gauntlet that I would like to give a permanent home but which are somewhat difficult to return to frequently after completion.
