Low bandwidth Version | Pop Up PROMO CODES: KNJNA3LHWYEX 7TA4P69HK36H YE93JRP9XHNR 7FR9RAMLTX4P 9LFP4KWAWKTJ E6466Y3KYKM6 PJPKAXHELPFT TFA4Y4NR49HA ELEYEPK6E4YT EH94NF94H77K Development of this game was started back in February of 2011. Since then, over 500 hours (at least) of playtesting and tweaking were invested to make sure that we created a 'simple arcade' game that was fun, balanced, perfectly suited for the iPhone/iPod Touch and worth every penny. The initial game concept came from 'pixel doodling'. It was also started as a response if you will, after Tommy Refenes from Team Meat likened the iPhone to a Tiger handheld from the 80's. Growing up in the 80's I loved the simple handhelds but always saw them as very limited due to the limited hardware. I played a lot of the VFD (vacuum fluorescent display) handhelds and wanted to make a game that was spiritual successor of these old colorful handhelds, but without the debilitating limitations. We came up with a fun mechanic and fell in love with the simple minimalist pixel graphics. From this, Zombie Stomp was born. The game was made specifically with the limitations of the iPhone in mind. The controls are tilt to move and tap to shoot or chop (otherwise the screen remains thumb-free). The chainsaw is automatic. At the moment, high scores save locally (like old school arcade games), however we will consider global leaderboards, if we get enough demand. Please try out the game and post feedback. Thank you for your time. ![]() Trailer made by Brainforce V. Creators of The Noob Adventures series on Youtube. --Arno. (co-owner of Simple Arcade) |

Looks good. Love the retro graphics but shame it uses tilt controls. Touchscreen buttons work well on ios platformers. If it had buttons I would buy this for sure

yup, just add 3 little platformer (mikey, SCB-)style buttons (at least as an option), and we have a nice & simple retro-arcade-gamey... GC integration/leaderboards would also be nice in the future

Low bandwidth Version | Pop Up That Intro really should get added to the Game itself too since it`s always nice to see a crazy Story Intro in a Retro Jump'n'Run Game that does actually have something to do with the Game too. Besides that: Thanks for YE93JRP9XHNR. |

Grabbed the first code KNJ...
It really is a Simple Arcade game where this beautiful trailer is sometimes longer then the gameplay itself. Cute timewaister while waiting for the bus or so. Tilt controls work well and here is def no need for buttons or a d-pad, imho. No pause button, no tilt-screen, no gamecenter... And yes, please, the trailer needs to be in the game. Thank you for the code and good luck dear Devs. |

Actually bought this. It's okay just needs a bit pf work. I got a hundred and odd kills but didn't sense any progression. Lives are lost too quickly when you bounce off the screen. It's a highscore game but the only highscores are local. Both Bitless and Mikey Shorts to name 2 recent games have great high score tables. Tilt is okay which is odd for me. It put me in mind of an old 80's classic called 'Dropzone' which if you can make this more like willl get my approval. Good luck though. I like the style, the story and the humour. See McPixel and Quiet, Please for 2 old style very funny games recently this week too. Bitless, Mikey Shorts and Quiet Please are all 69p and these all have a bit more game to them in my view.
