Kind of a weird game. Never played a shmup where your ship experiences inertia. In any case, what I played of it was kind of unremarkable.

Yeah, looks like it. Too bad it doesn't have touch controls too. But the joypad on my new ipad works relatively ok. This game seems better suited on an ipad over an iphone, but the joypad controls probably work better on an iphone I have to figure. But I don't know since I haven't loaded it on my iphone. But plays decent on my new ipad.

I have no time for scrolling shmups without RT, but maybe I'll download it anyway in case they come to their senses at some point

But Asteroids ain't no shmup. Sure, it's a precursor, but apple and oranges. This is pretty much your typical horizontal shmup, but...with inertia. It's weird. If it were going for a Defender Stargate thing, I could understand, but it's weird for this kind of shooter.

In any case, that was the only real element of the game that I found interesting. The rest of it is pretty boring.

I think Asteroids is more of an arena shooter than anything if you think about it. Oh screw it, lets just consider Minigore as a SHMUP too, haha :/
