Looks ok, but anyone else put off even trying new iOS games when it launches for free these days? I think I've grown tired of the usual crappy game design of it all.

Yeah me, definately. If I see that the game is free, then it is a red flag for me. Most of the times I don´t even try them.

Getting sick of these "free"-to-play games.

The concept is very simple: defend your position and kill all the aliens. The basic gameplay is simple (but not so easy) and very cool to play while difficulty progressively rises.

You'll encounter a variety of situations and places (labs, orbital stations, subways, undergrounds…) while killing those dirty beasts.

Here's an artwork with the weapons that you’ll carry during your fight against aliens!

Assault Riffle, Shotgun, Plasma Gun, Laser Gun, Railgun, Flame Thrower, Minigun, grenades and turrets! Each one is customizable through different parameters (firepower, firerate…) You’re going to have a lot of fun…

There's actually been quite a few good ones, but you've got to weed through the good and the bad. Lots of good runners -- Agent Dash, One Epic Knight, Subway Surfers. Not as much in other genres, but Eternity Warriors 2 is a great hack n' slash.

Anyway, I don't always associate "free" with crap. Only games I definately won't get are the more social, farmville/kingdom building type games. To me, they're boring and by far the worst of those pushing IAPs.

This looks decent, but may be a bit on the simplistic side.
