Legion Gold coming to iPad from Matrix/Slitherine

According to pocket tactics, Slitherine/Matrix planning on announcing another strategy game for the iPad next Monday.

Looking at the pictures, it's their strategy game Legion Gold. Which plays a bit like the total war series (with sprites instead of 3d models).

I'm very disappointed. When I was big into PC games, I owned almost all of matrix games library. This game would go at the very bottom of my most wanted list. Really not even that. Please, matrix if your listening Close Combat, Decicive Campaigns, advanced tactics. Anything but this and conquest, your two weakest games in your catalog.

Legion is one of our best selling games (I think our best selling PC game) so while it may not appeal to you there are many people who will like it. Sales are in the hundreds of thousands of units.

That's not to say we don't have plans for other games but Legion is very popular, but its not aimed at the hardcore Matrix audience which it sounds like you are part of

Panzer Corps is still in development. Got a bit held up by work on Afrika Korps but hope to have some progress to report in a couple of weeks time.
