Is this Phosphor games working towards more IAP driven game again or a temp reduction?

lol... got bored pretty fast after 3 hours. The game feels heavily padded and repetitive in order to lengthen the playtime and getting through each stage becomes a real chore. There is a rather decent story here but the pacing just isn't very good. Do I regret my initial purchase? A little.. since I don't think I will ever finish this game...but for $2.99.. I think it is probably worth that just to check it out.
