He-Man (iOS Brawler)

By the power of Grayskull! Chillingo, Mattel and developer Glitchsoft have officially lifted the lid on He-Man: The Most Powerful Game in the universe. The brawler, due out later this fall for iOS, recaptures the feeling of the classic 1980s Saturday morning cartoon:

The game takes place across seven regions of Eternia, offering up 27 total levels of action. Gamers will do battle with He-Man arch nemesis Skeletor, as well was Beast Man and presumably the rest of Skeletor’s lieutenants. Players will be able to level-up He-Man unlocking new powers and abilities as the quest progresses. No word on whether there will be any song & dance numbers included.

He-Man is confirmed to be a Universal app, allowing gamers to buy once and play across iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. IGN will have much more on The Most Powerful Game in the Universe, including hands-on impressions, as it nears launch later this fall. In the meantime, true Masters of the Universe should be sure to check out our He-Man Screenshot Gallery.

Instant buy for me
A He-Man Brawler, where you can level up and with over 27 game levels? Can't imagine something better

^ This x1000. I'm really hoping that at least one classic property can be released as a game on iOS without "runner-ization".

The screens look absolutely gorgeous, but this being by Glitchsoft has me concerned in 2 "departments":

1) None of their games have retina graphics, right? That said, I think Dan from Chillingo made it clear that all their published games will have retina graphics from here on out.
2) IAPs. Yep, they were absolutely dreadful in Star Marine.

Everyone's favorite chamber of death, doom and decomposition.
