Feature creep and a different approach for level design has resulted in levels taking much longer to complete. However, on the bright side the levels are unique and allow for exploration (multi-path) and so much more! Additionally it allows us to use certain mechanics to spice up the game even more (pull a lever here, step on platform over there, push button in oder to turn things on/off).

We've also put a shitload of work into extending the engine itself to allow for awesome visuals. Characters, enemies have realtime shadows and awesome AI! A weather system with rain and thunder, Light and Shadow areas in which the player actually really get affected by it and a ton more. A new Parallax system etc.

We wanted to make sure that "The Other Brothers" is "different" and "fun". This of course meant we had to ditch our previous approach and therefore we have to play "ketchup" now


Looks like the "Impatience" list is growing! Get in line guys....

Does anyone here have the 8-bitty controller? I am personally interested in this device and think it would be fun to use it to play "The Other Brothers".

Added you to the ever growing list of "The Famous Impatient"! We're currently doing some bug fixes (Rob is) while I am working on a new level. It's definitely fun seeing it come together so nicely.

We would like a handful more beta testers. If you would like to get a playable demo level please respond to this thread as to why we would pick you. Please no PM

What we need are testers who really go on the bug-hunt and write up their "experience" on our forum afterwards.

The current beta is playable on Mac/Win (keyboard, ps3, xbox360 controller supported).

So would you people like to see "Achievements" in TOB for iOS and if so, which ones? Got ideas? For instance, you know that you can collect Oilcans, Pigeons and you can stomp enemies. Find item "X" or person "Y" in a stage... there are possibilities...any thoughts?
