Carmageddon [by Stainless Games Ltd]

Plus the opportunity to make in app purchases to unlock ALL the cars (apart from the secret one) and ALL the races!

Carmageddon requires iOS 5.1 or later.

OMG. I hope beyond hopes this doesn't suck. This game stole many, many hours from me back in the day.

Don't suppose there's any chance of getting one of the original soundtracks. Chasing down pedestrians in C2 to the tune of Iron Maiden's Aces High rocked!

I play lots of games, especially async ones. You can add me on GC: geoelectric

Soooo looking forward to this!
I spent so many hours on the original.
Hope this delivers!

My initial impressions are good, very good

The controls are responsive, the graphics and sound are just as I remember them and the mindless joy of hand-braking through a crowd does not get old.

Looking forward to more fun with this as I get more time.

How's the soundtrack? Is is the original Fear Factory from the first game, or something different?

It sounded like the original music on Sanakus impression video!

Yay for coming through!

I'm tempted and Stainless Steel has some serious pedigree, but is this really just temporarily free or clearly a Glu-esque Freemium game with all of the vehicles and tracks only obtained via IAP? I mean Stainless Steel has shown us with Magic 2013, they're no strangers to IAPs.

They said in the iPhone thread that its fully beatable without IAP. You gain cars by completing levels and unlock the last few cars by getting position 1 for every track I think.

I understand its just free for a day, as a way for kickstarter backers 'in the know' to get the app onto their devices - seeing as Apple only give 50 codes.

Not a freemium

This is a PAID app, free for the 1st day only. Not a freemium title trying to trick you into IAPs. And it is a port of the PC title, not a half-assed "mobile" or "touch" version.

Sorry, I wasn't paying much attention to the soundtrack, I was too busy gleefully mowing through innocents and appreciating red blood without the need for a patch

I'm quite well-adjusted in real life you know ... I drive a Subaru Outback wagon.

Mobile Carmageddon, this is what technology should be used for.
