Is the $3 IAP the only way to unlock more characters?

Great fun little game. The controls work well although personally I'd prefer just to have a virtual d pad and jump button.

Either way great work dingo games!

The concept is cool.. I relly thought this was going to be awesome..
But after playing I'm a bit disappointed.
For starters, controls don't feel intuitive at all, I have to pretty much forcefully molest the screen just to jump, you press the right side of the screen to go right, and left for left, so they want you to hold it and play with your thumbs, but when you play with your thumbs it's almost impossible to jump.
Playing on iPad, maybe it's easier on iPhone.

The gameplay-
There's only 1 level.. You play the same level over and over.. The gameplay never really evolves.. Same thing every time.
The objects don't really interact with anything, they just fall to the ground and break, and often it's impossible to break something If you didn't land on it at the right angle.
You CAN unlock other animals.. Theres like 20 animals and the first one is $3.99 for a Siamese cat. You cannot unlock them just buy playing.
And buying the animals doesn't change gameplay at aall or unlock more areas.. Just the one boring level again.

It's a shame cause it could have been really cool.
Like you could unlock new areas of the house and backyard, which has different items and different set ups.
And collecting points could allow you to unlock new items and animals, so you could either grind to unlock them, or pay.
I think a game like that would have gotten much kore purchase. Don't think many people will pay to unlock different animals because the gameplay simply doesn't evolve. There's no point to keep playing, no objectives, no game center, no achievements.
Once you play it once, you've seen it all.

They could have made it really cool if they spent more time on it.. They could have made it so some items interact with others, like dropping paint cans on cars actually splatters the car with paint and gives you a bonus.
Or carefully moving the knives over to a turkey dinner on the table could have unlocked a "carve the turkey" achievement or something.

Had the potential to be AWESOME, but they just didn't spend enough time on it.. Looks like it was whipped up really quickly.. They probably got the idea when that video of a cat knocking stuff over went viral so they quickly made and released this game.

Bottom line is, could be cool, but isn't yet. Maybe if they devs work on it it'd be better. But for free, it's worth a try, but there's definitely not much replayability or longevity, or variety.. Or even good controls.

Just to clarify, there are 4 leaderboards and 13 achievements in the Game Center for this game.
