"Hairy Tales is simple enough to understand, but so maddeningly complicated so that youre addicted to the challenge, and what a challenge it is." - ARCADE SUSHI

ABOUT HAIRY TALES

Combining tile-dragging mechanics with fast furious action, Hairy Tales is a puzzle action game about the zany adventures of a group of not too bright folk spirits, as you help them puzzle out evil conundrums in their mission to save their tile-based world from sickening corruption.

It stars the Hairys, an excitable group of fairy folk who are so eager to clear their world of corruption that they simply don't watch where they're going. It's up to you to lead them to safety by placing tiles and power ups in their way.

It has 72 levels split across three distinctive worlds, where players must simultaneously save the Hairys from falling off the edge of the world by re-arranging the tiles on each level, while acquiring power ups, magic mushrooms and destroying evil enemy Kikimoras and their three powerful end bosses.

Well, I only played the first 10 levels, but I wonder what is the point of "corruption cleared"? I believe we destroy corruption on every adjacent tiles that we pass but in the end when we enter the portal, automatically all corruptions are gone (and we always have 100%). Well, maybe there's something more in the next levels.

After we complete a level, the options on the level summary are only 2: replay and next. I think it's better if there's a menu for return to level selection or main menu.

Thanks for the suggestion. About the corruption:

Things do get trickier later on.

What happens is that if you clear all corruptors (like spikes and corrupted oaks, which also come later) by the time you enter the gate, then the game will clear all leftover corruption. Later on it becomes more difficult to both clear up all the corruptors and pick up all the mushrooms - we just didn't want to overwhelm the players while they were still learning the ropes.

Cheers!

Hi again!

We've just released Hairy Tales 1.0.1, which contains some optimizations and a fix for a bug that made the 2nd swamp stage impossible to complete (pretty cool to see that some players got that far already!).

Enjoy!

I got this a while ago... And have played quite a bit on my iPad. But just recently got an iPhone. I was wondering if there were any plans on adding iCloud support?

BTW, thank you so much for supporting the widescreen! =oD

Let me look into it. I expect that if someone already has local save data, and we find iCloud data, then we should ask them which one they want to keep. Or perhaps I can just automagically merge it.
