I was considering dropping support for the 3GS but after seeing that would cut out 15-20% of iPhones I don't think that is a wise decision.

Can you support the 3GS with the latest version of Xcode? I was under the impression that you can't.

I was also planning on adding support for 3GS. Where can I find info if that's possible anymore? Xcode documentation?

As far as i know, not supporting both resolutions can get your app rejected.I am supporting any device that runs at least iOs 4.3.That means armv7 and armv7s for iphone 5.

It is arm6 devices that are no longer supported. iPod touch 1st and 2nd gen (8 GB model sold alongside 3rd gen was a 2nd gen), original iPhone and iPhone 3G.

Note that a game like DoodleJump supports from iPhone1 to iPhone5, from iOS3 to iOS6. Executable is arm6+arm7+arm7s. It's not that hard to handle everything. They make everyone happy, and they get 100% of the money.

Yes but that is because a game like doodle jump is not breaking any barriers, simple graphics, simple gameplay, simple everything. When you have a bleeding edge game like Infinity Blade it is not worth supporting iPhone1. Most games are somewhere in the middle, thus it is simply not a matter of getting it to work.
