You do equip them.

There are weapons/armors from the blacksmith, and can upgrade the weapon/armor several times. You don't actually find weapons/armor in the wild, so it's basically just upgrading the 'level' of your weapon/armor.

You also have 4 equip slots. This is for random items you find like amulets and rings. The slots don't have a type per se, so you basically have 4 slots for different trinkets you find. These are things like +health, +attack, etc...

Compared to other games which are more loot heavy, Pen & Paper's weapon/armor system is pretty simple. I actually like lots of exciting loot, coming from a WoW background, but it works in a simple mobile game.

I'm most of the way through the main quest on Android, and still loving it. Unlocked 4 more classes now. It's a bit of grindy game, but there's always new stuff to see which makes it exciting.

Wow - I'm glad TA has picked up on this already. I have been playing the game on Android, and it is a solid, fun title.

The dialogue is fun, the game is very pick-up-and-play-ish, and it's a lot of "just one more time" thing.

So far I haven't found the IAPs to be necessary at all - and as someone said, they aren't even available on Android, it just says "they aren't available yet", but you can get gold through quests.

I hope the game comes out on iOS pretty soon, because you are missing out on a very good game.

Sure! New campaigns are already being made and a big one should come later november/early december. We'll always keep releasing them, tho, and they will cost only game-money as usual.

Yes, it will! Lots of achievements and different scoreboards will be available.
