Many websites, including famous ones such as VgChartz, Kotaku and GameReactor, have reported that Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is coming soon to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and iOS in Q1 2014.

That’s a direct quote from this trailer for YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z. Just so you know what you’re getting yourself in for.

The game, which is being directed by former Capcom legend Keiji Inafune, was slated for 360, PS3 and iOS, although this clip says it’s now coming to PS4 as well.

Team Ninja are working with Spark Unlimited and Comcept on Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, a new game in the series from Keiji Inafune. It was announced late last year, and will be hitting current-gen consoles in early 2014, along with some kind of iOS/mobile spin-off (as revealed by a job listing here).

Isn't Ryu in the fourth screenshot? And also in the third.

It is the Ninja Gaiden of Tecmo Koei, not a generic term. This time we will play as Yaiba (not Ryu) and fight againts zombies (as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a spin-off). However, I don't know why these websites say it is coming to iOS! The developers haven't officially confirmed that!

At first glance it does seem odd that iOS would rival Xbox360 or PS3 as a format that would share the same releases but you never know (i.e. Injustice: Gods Among Us).
