This is indeed a bit different from the normal i don't recall seeing something like this before (im sure someone will say different).

Each game is a PVP time match. Both you and your opponent have shields that you hide behind and from there either of you try take out the other or the troops that are deployed at you. By killing troops you can deploy your own and soon the battlefield becomes one large killing ground with bullets, rockets playing all over the place. If by the end of the match either player has not been killed the game does into sudden death with all the shields removed it's then down to how quick either of you can kill each other.

Im going to stick my neck out and say this game is only suitable for tablet, i say this due to how the autofire works you press and small circle pops giving you better arm now imagine this on small iphone screen. I couldn't play this game my iphone 5 thats for sure as my big fingers would get in the way and even on iphone 6s im told its not any easier from a friend who tried it.

The game is free to play (i hear the moans already) but hear me out. The game uses dog tags for every play vs play match and these are refreshed over time but if you cant wait you can watch advert to speed things along and get yourself a dog tag i don't know if there is a limit to how many times you can do this but i feel this seems a very fair if you DON'T pay into the game by at lest watching advert you are giving something to the developer.

There is then warcards and these can be play any time during a match and will either add in some form. Be it give you health or empty the player clip right at the point he needs a ammo in this gun. You buy war cards gold or you can earn a free one by watching advert.

These are my initial thoughts so far, going to play it a bit more and update my thoughts as i get into the game more.

WarFriends™ by Chillingo Ltd is an interesting Online-Only Third-Person Cover Shooter Mobile Game that does spicy up it`s Battle Core Gameplay System with Power Bands that could turn the tide during any Battle if they are used wisley.

WarFriends™ is a Free2Play Game in which you get besides the usual Timer, ViP Tickets, Packs, Booster Cards, Gold Bars, Ads, a pretty decend Cover based Third-Person Multiplayer Shooter Game that has some interesting Twists that will either sink the Game or make it each single round you might play interesting till the end.

Depending on how well the Team back at Fun s.r.o might polish those Power Bands and kinda create an Matchmaking System where only those that are using those kind of accessories play against those that own those Bonus Items the Game might have a chance to survie Online.

Otherwise I can see already during the current Open Beta of the Game that some rounds are very unbalanced as soon someone does use one of those Power Bands that are currently turning the current Matchmaking System often into an suicide mission that would be otherwise very fair.

Besides that the Game looks already at the current moment very polished and I had not an single crash at all and every single part of the Game looked like the Game would launch any time soon compared in what state other Games had launched this week on the AppStore.

Leveling up you Soldier, upgrading your Equipment, buying newer Soldier , buying Helmets for them or Accessories,...you name it it`s in the Game and some of the later Soldier/War Mashines you can buy in the Game really look like a lot of fun to play.

Conclusion:

I currently still have not made up my mind about the Game since specially those Power Bands that you can obtain when you are a ViP User at least in my eyes felt often unbalanced and after loosing 4. Games in a row with User that were ViP + Power Band User I would strongly recommand that the Developer take some time to reconsider if it wouldn`t make sense to place those User in an own ViP Ranking System and have one Second Ranking for those User who never have used an Power Band or aren`t using them for ranked Matches.

Besides that the Game has enough tactical depth that someone that likes to dig his nose into a Game that is easily to play but hard to master so I`m 100% sure that those will enjoy playing WarFriends™.

Rating: None at the current moment*

*= The Game is currently Soft-Launched and I don`t rate any Games while the Developer are still polishing their Games.

Whatever happened to Micro Machines and Ignite Nitro Drift? I thought they were to be released by the same publisher.

As a user of Iphone6plus, I must say that this game is more suitable for tablets.

Screen is already small to begin with, and with the tiny scope sighting, it's straining my eyes.

Hello all!

@sidpvp I am glad you get used to shooting on your iPhone 5S. Game is definitely suited for phones, not just tablets.
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, your account WON'T be deleted when game goes live globally.

@sanuku @hellscaretaker Thanks both for write up and valuable feedback! As Dan said, game is in soft launch and balancing is one of our priorities. We will definitely take a closer look at power bands.

Thank you again and please, feel free to share your thoughts! Any feedback is welcomed.
