Default jailbreak ipod touch 2g is out.
jailbreak ipod touch 2g for firmware 3.0 is out.

edit : i have a question i heard that you can get 3.0 firmware for free for ipod users if you Restore it and then update is this true ?

but where do you download 3.0 from?
not itunes

yes restoring then dling the update for free does work, it worked for me when it came out

so you restored and then upgraded ? can anyone confirm this ?

you could also instal custom firmware to get 3.0 right can anyone explain me about it.

no, once again, if you restore your ipod (on itunes, go to your devices menu and click on your itouch, then click restore), for some reason apple lets you dl the 3.0 firmware for free (i make sure i dont have money in my account just to make sure). i did not pay $10.

EDIT: this also worked for 2.0 when it came out (i just found it randomly, i click restore not knowing what it did then i got the update without spending $10)

then did you jailbreak it with redsnow?
and just to confirm you have a 2G ipod touch?
