This is not a game and seems pretty pointless as such. It is an interesting social experiment and I will want to follow that, but not to be part of it.

Also, how is the game played? Every player chips their own blocks, or is it s collective effort of all of humanity?

No, that was the result of his chipping away :P

It's a global effort to get to the centre of the cube, and one person gets to get to the core, while everyone else misses out.

Pretty much this,I think Molyneux needs a reality check,but that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Its done programmatically, basically the person that clicks on the last block in the last layer gets some link to a video

Which means somone playing the game over WiFi can never win? Also this means that a person who just freshly installed the game and chipped a single block can end up winning?

I downloaded it and started clicking away. I was the 2,237th person to install it about 2 hours ago. I'm interested at least to see how this plays out.
