I wouldn't necessarily call it "cheap," since the production values are decent. But I agree that it's very limited compared to Hunters 2 and Tactical Soldier: Undead Rising. Beyond the simple mechanics (you can't do opportunity fire, the sniper's range is pathetic, etc), there's no attempt to tell a story or make you care about the character in any way, which makes the overall experience feel shallow. It reminds me a bit of Rebirth of Fortune, in fact.

That's not to say that the basic gameplay is not enjoyable -- it is. But tactics fans can find better options.

First, thanks for the promo code!

Now, my opinion of the game is that it's so-so. The graphics are fine and controls are great. The gameplay is pretty straight forward and kinda fun. But after completing the first mission theres pretty much no reason to keep playing. Sure, i could try again with different troops but thats as deep as the "strategy" gets. Where's the upgrade/level up your troops so you have a reason to play a level again and grind it out. Where's the chance of finding a new playable character in a level to give you a reason to keep playing that impossible mission over and over. Where's the new weapons available, maybe from a drop after killing an enemy to give you a little excitement and anticipation when killing each enemy on the battlefield. Where's the story to know why we're even there fighting?

This game has the basics down. It just needs ALOT more depth. A whole lot more.

I only played the first level so maybe some of my suggestions get addressed but I didn't really have a reason to continue playing to find out. I will save the app and wait for an update. Hopefully some additions get added because the game definately has potential.
