Just bought a 13'' Macbook Pro for development

With Back To School discount, iPod Touch and Printer Rebate,
13'' Macbook Pro just costs about US$8xx. The simple unibody case design and useful multitouch trackpad are amazing!! Now I can leave the Hackintosh and will never afraid of upgrading the OS.

I promise I will develop a good game for iDevice in future.

Wow, I didn't realize that macs were down to 800 and change, I may have to pick one up for myself.

But I don't see myself being a dev.

Well without taxes... I guess

PAID
MacBook Pro - $1100
iPod - $230
Printer - $100
Sub - $1430

AFTER REBATES
Subtract $230 for iPod
Subtract $100 for Printer
Sub - $1100

AFTER SELLING (If you do)
Subtract $190 (What I sold iPod for)
Subtract $50 (prob higher)
Sub - $870

Add taxes which is 9.25 % in CA = around $132 add that to $870

FINAL MACBOOK PRO Price = $1002 ;p

And I get upset about our (VA) 5% sales tax, 9.25% is rape.

Good deal. I've been developing on a mac mini, which is awesome, but I'd like the portability. Changing physical locations can help your ambition and state of mind. I'll pick one up if Wormies makes me rich... so probably no time soon.

Development blog for Wormies, my first iPhone game:

OK. Now I just has some brainstorm in my mind. I'm a junior web programmer, so I should work hard to develop iDevice Game. But I'm a experienced gamer.

The MultiTouch Trackpad is a good reason for having a Macbook. I suggest you buy it when there is discount or rebate, it help save a lots money.
