It can't be updated to make it compatible with the next iOS if it's pulled.

Sorry to see you go...one of the best sense-of-speed game out there...I still play it sparingly and hope to see it return some day. All the best!

But all legacy software will still load. iSR will continue to work so long as you have a device to run it on.

It's one thing if you had a fire sale and said - good bye, so long, and thanks for the fish - all our games are free for the day - but to charge for a game that you admit you won't support in the future is silly. It's like a store closing but not telling anyone there will be no returns for faulty products etc. Wishing you well, of course. And props to your honesty so anyone who gets this today (on TA) knows it is an antiquated title in advance. |

I don't see the problem - old apps generally keep working on newer OS releases. Years from now, it might stop working, but all the "tested on iOS X.X" stuff you see in the App Store just means that a developer checked a box while submitting their app - it doesn't mean anything more than that.
I don't expect that when I purchase a game on the App Store it will be supported for all of eternity - I assume what I bought is what I'm going to get. You have no idea if the dev is going to turn it into some grand project or just ditch the thing due to lack of interest, so make sure the current version is something you're happy with. Also, I understand why he's got to take down the app - it costs money to keep your dev account, corporate entity, etc. up to date (possibly more than an app is bringing in), and if your dev account subscription lapses, your games get pulled by Apple. So, that said, I appreciate him letting everyone know what's going on (rather than leaving us wondering where it went). You just need to be careful that you don't lose your copy of the game once it gets pulled from the App Store, if you already own a copy. |

Hmm.
Right, I wish you the best. I was actually pretty closely contemplating if I was going to put this down or if anybody would read this, but to be honest I don't care, so I'll let it out now. This app was honestly one of the first games I ever spent anything on in the App Store. Heck, one of the very first games I got. I believed in you guys every step of the way and hoped for the best, but hey, things didn't turn out the way you planned. I'm fine with that. I have my copy of the last update and it sucks to see the game go, but hey. I got what I got and in the end I can't ask for more than that. See you around, if you come back. And if not, thanks for the game. |

This game is hugely underrated. I downloaded it today and the controls and sense of speed are amazing.
I also PM'd the developer and asked about future updates and he said he lost his programmer which is why the game seems "unfinished" to some people, and why there haven't been any updates. If more people buy Synth Racing he'll be able to afford more people to help him flesh it out. So do your part! Seriously, it's less than a dollar, and the potential there is amazing. I'd argue that 99 cents is a steal even in it's current form. |

This is a pretty fun game. Complex controls for a "fly down a tunnel avoiding objects" game.
