Now i bought The Game and I regret it. The touch controls are not playable. Just left/right arrows or touching left, right on the screen. That's what I want.
Virtual Joysticks, swiping around does never really work. After playing some minutes, the finger starts to sweat and then it's impossible to play. Why is it so difficult for devs to understand that? This is a touch or turn device, virtual sticks never really work. Apart from that, the music is great, the graphics are great but it runs a bit to jerky on my ipad3. And yes, it is a wipeout clone. No problem, when Sony don't gives us the real one. We've got so many Mario, Breakout, Pacman clones here. So what is the problem? |

I dont find the joystick too bad but yeah ideally i would love a simple left/right button either side of the screen.
But i'm sure the devs will listen and might do something in a future update. I wouldnt go OTT and delete it instantly or regret the purchase. |

I actually prefer the joysticks... I dunno how cluttered the bottom or mid-center of the screen would get with all the buttons involved if they did add a left/right edge scheme... With racers I generally prefer tilt on the smaller iPod, and a wheel/slider/joystick on the bigger iPad though... I'm not a Beans Quest type control scheme racer fan at all...
But in all fairness... And because I was told numerous times by numerous people (including the devs - yes, multiple forums members and multiple developers) in another thread to quit my bitching and stop whining, play the game as is and STFU because my opinion about controls doesn't matter - and that I don't know what I'm talking about even though it's MY damn opinion.... I FULLY SUPPORT YOUR DESIRE FOR WHATEVER CONTROL SCHEME YOU ARE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH. Good news is, Jujubee's a great Dev team, and actually listen to customers instead of blowing them off telling them they don't know what they're talking about - so chances are, we might just find out how that scheme would play out. I'd personally be interested in seeing if they could pull it off, considering all the buttons that are involved. =o) |

It isn't a hundred percent smooth but not sure its framerate or something else.
Good Career and upgrades Track design Vehicle designs Wipeout like Bad Disappearing kills behind 2d sprite explosion Over lit areas on tracks A bit washy, needs deeper contrast Vehicles swapping through pillars in garage (just a quality issue) Badly clipped and compressed font used in help Lack of weight and impacts on vehicles No vehicle shadows (even just texture) A decent Wipeout like racer, but some things need a bit more attention and polish. Not quite what I expected. |

I tried the game and deleted right away. It felt very boring to me and the music wasn't music at all, just a couple of techno notes. I've played wipeout and loved it but this game is lightyears behind wipeout

On a related note, Repulze looks dandy awesome! Looking at that, I can immediately see the speed, better graphics and of course smoother gameplay (60 fps!?!) and banking! Hell yeah

Yeah, left and right screen controls would suit this game better for touch fans. Like the touch controls you get with Asphalt 6 and 7.
