I just got a sneak preview of this FREE multiplayer word game coming out this Friday.

It's a multiplayer only game but you're essentially playing dueling solo blitz sessions with the same grids and refilling letters to make everything totally fair. You start off with a grid of balloons each holding a letter. Drag a path through the balloons to spell words. Used balloons are popped and new ones come into replace them. You start with 90 seconds but can earn more time with each word you spell.

A couple of other neat twists the game offers. You can pop the whole grid for a fresh grid if things seem jammed and you're also able to rotate the grid left or right to take advantage of the movement of the floating balloons once a word is cleared. I also like how even if playing a random opponent, the game adds them to your game's contact list so you can replay your favorite opponents again.

As a free game there are ads but they only appear in between rounds and can even then be disabled for $2.99. No other IAPs.

To be precise, you start with 60 seconds ... but most games last longer because you're earning time by finding longer words.

Game will be in the app store on Friday, formal release on Monday.

The Marketing group is in San Diego. Word Carnivale was designed here (I'm just a word game junkie). Encinitas to be specific.
