I assume it's the on-screen intensity that the engine was designed to handle (i.e., a ton of enemies on the screen at once) which makes it impossible to play on 3rd Gen devices, rather than the graphics themselves.

My iPad 2 is getting dated, but my iPhone 5 arrives today! Perfect timing... Yet so overdue, because I loved the first one so much.

Funny... I remember the hype and having to wait for months for the first one, but this second one couldn't have better timing

Man, has it been a long time since the original. It was my favorite DSS for quite a while. To date, Minigore still has the dual-stick controls to ever grace the iOS. Very excited to play this tonight.
