How soon can i start buying houses ? Only have about $5k at the moment but whenever i go into one of those icons nothing comes up, is it at a set point later i take it ?

You should be able to buy *houses*, there should be a $ button that appears when you walk into the icon. However, other property (businesses) only becomes available after a specific story mission.

Thanks yep thats what i thought, walked through a few dollar signs but nothing, not even a 'this costs 10000' type of thing. I'll try again later and see what happens, at 8000 dollars now which i thought 'may' get me a cheap house or something.

Loving the game, got used to the controls, graphics nice and sharp on the ipod touch 5.

Okay, any veterans here have some tips for me? I'm trying to beat the blasted mission with the gang war. I come in, kill a bunch of guys, and then the sniper comes up on the roof. I go up, kill him, and then I'm required to hop in this car with drugs and ride back to a "safehouse". Problem is, the car tires always get shot up, and it's impossibly hard to control! The police are ramming me like crazy, and the car always get destroyed and blown up before I can reach the safehouse.

So, anyone have some advice for me? Do I have to kill everyone before driving out in the car so the tires don't get shot? Or do I just have to be an absolute perfect driver?


PS - I am really enjoying the game so far, but man, sometimes the difficulty can be brutal. Those retarded RC Copter missions come to mind...

Worth checking on youtube how people do this mission.

I'm not that far yet in the game but from memory (10 years ago !), missions like this i used to try and kill everyone so no one is chasing me. If the police arrive i try and go to the nearest safehouse to get the car resprayed to lose all the police stars. Or sometimes worth blasting the police car and going once theres no more cops (for the moment).

Again from memory so perhaps the main safehouse for the mission is closer, but often during a few missions if i bump into a police car and they try to arrest me i just go the nearest place to get the car sprayed.

You can use the gta 3 modding files in vice city by renaming it. Runs awesome on my non jail broken iphone 4. No lag at all.

On the second island the ice cream factory is right at the bridge it's called cherry popper,watch the cutscene when you buy it-it's kinda funny xD and at the top of the map in the center is an island-that's the porno studio,that is 30k and you unlock the skimmer plane buy doing the missions there (I think it's the third or 2nd one to unlock it)

Could someone confirm the ice cream (cherry poppers) distribution mission works?
Jumped in the van and tried to sound the horn (expecting a jingle and get nothing) so i cant do this mission.
