Anyone know without buying any song is it possible to unlock or get any more songs other than the 2 free ones?

I'm absolutely heartbroken that it won't work on iPod 4G.
I can get an iPhone 5 in January though.

does the 3DS version allow you to unlock the characters as well? correct me if im wrong, i have no idea so the $40 base price would include the 13 bundle pack and the 25 characters as unlockables right? but in the ios the 13 music bundles would amount to around 39$ plus the 25 characters which costs around 50$ to be unlocked.
so to get the same full game in 3DS to IOS we have to pay around $90 to get the same experience assuming my understanding is correct. Right? i mean, i don't mind investing time in my games.

Just take my money already SE! This is one expensive year for us IOS gamers but I am glad we get to experience these games on our mobile platform. Thank goodness I am an adult that has a job to pay for all these goodies, think back to the days where I had to save my lunch money and starve just so I can buy FFIII (6) on SNES.
As to my thoughts on IAPs in this game, it is a bit much if you plan on owning all the music packs and characters. If you can be selective about it, you are looking into spending about 15 to 20 bucks owning your favorite FF music and characters of all time, not a bad bargain IMO.

By that I assume you mean "Square Enix maintain their integrity by pricing games according to their actual value and not succumbing to the store-destroying race to the bottom"? Unless you're talking about the overall quality of the games, which obviously isn't as high as their console titles.

I was genuinely surprised by this game. I typically don't like rythm games, but this one is great. I've always loved the final fantasy music.
I hate IAPs but I may try a few from my favorite games. Shouldn't come out to more than $9-10 for 2-3 song bundles.
