Not bad, on iPhone the d-pad is uncomfortably close to the edge of the screen though.

This is some of the most pay to win BS, I HAVE EVER PLAYED. I can't believe someone could make a fighting game and then use the same mechanics as a F2P FPS. This isn't worth playing even if you would spend over $100 to upgrade the strongest character.

Animations: 4/10
Graphics: 5/10
Character design : 4/10
Story : 2/10
Sound : 3/10
IAP: 1/10

Verdict: Waste of time.

Ads, 2 currencies and a 6 bar energy timer - timer refills 1 bar every 20 mins or fully refills after leveling up. Roughly 20 mins of playtime had me level up 3 times, also giving me 1 premium currency each time. Other typical FTP nonsense included timers for upgrading character equipment, and constant "connecting to server" popups. Any consumable IAP also removes ads.
All that said - the actual fighting isn't fully terrible. It's very heavily inspired by mid '90's fighters, think Mortal Kombat 2, Killer Instinct, that other one with the dinosaurs... In other words, blocky, secret unintuitive combos, ugly player models, etc. The buttons are mostly responsive, no slowdown - so if you're feeling nostalgic for that style of fighter, it might be worth it.

Huh, you would think this wasn't a top notch quality game by looking at its title. But watching the vid of the gameplay says otherwise (thanks for posting it, Sanuku!). I don't see why they couldn't just simply name it "Blade Lords". Lol.

& yea, I did see a lil energy timer at the the top of the screen... Smh. I can't believe there's ads also.

But... powered by Unreal? I think those graphics were pretty good, or maybe I'm blind. I don't think I'll be able to play it on my iPod Touch 4. xD I really do want to play it tho :S

Btw, look at that app store rating!
