I think this is either the second or third year it's been free. They give you a small taste for free, unlocking the rest of the game costs $10.

Will this compete with hearthstone for you Eli?

I play paper Magic, so no, not really. If they ever released a full-fledged Magic the Gathering Online client for iPad then I'd pretty much be done with Hearthstone.

got the last two, but now that I have hearthstone to satisfy my ccg needs I don't think I'll be biting this time around.

Both 2013 and 2014 are basically free and unlock for US$10.00 for the full version via IAP. IIRC, 2013 has seen a cut in the IAP, but I am not sure about the 2014 one since I play both sparingly.

So, what is the difference between this and the previous incarnations? Should I get this one, and play it seriously, finally?

BUILD YOUR DECK:
Craft your ultimate deck from hundreds of cards
Open Booster packs to grow your collection and become more powerful
I haven't been keeping up with the news on this one. Does this mean we can build decks from scratch? Outside of sealed play like last year, I mean? Because I'm pretty stoked at that idea, so I hope that's the case.

I'm guessing that if it is the case, then the card catalog is limited to just the 2015 core set, but I'm fine with that. Downloading now, so I guess I'll find out in a bit!

I couldn't find an unlock for $10 but there was one for $37.99 and all cards for $24.99. Is there anything less than that?
