App description: Battlemass is a turn-based strategy game with both single-player and multi-player support. A match is played on a map resembling a boardgame consisting of tiles, and in turns of 3 phases combat, harvest and build. The goal is to destroy your opponent's Base/City Unit. One of the cool features of the game is that you harvest the map's tiles for resources but in the process destroy the tiles, and any unit on such a tile.

I got it, haven't played much yet but I definately get the Greed Corp vibe which is a good thing in my opinion. It's fairly in depth too (again a good thing) with quite a few maps and multiplayer if you like that sorta thing, I'm looking forward to learning all the units and spending more time with it.

Why is no one playing this excellent two-player turn-based strategy game?

This is a mystery!

Why is no one playing this excellent two-player turn-based strategy game?

It has everything: Single-player, two-player hot seat, and on-line multiplayer.

Now the thing is... it is available on iOS (Universal), (via Desura) PC AND MAC.

And even if you don't have the Desura client you can download the full game. It is 600 yen on the App Store but it is FREE on Desura. Now here's the BIG thing. Players with the iOS version can play online matches against players with the PC or Mac version. WOW!

I for one completely missed this one.
It does look quite greed corpish as said.
Looks quite good, but at $7 where I am, it's quite up there with quality apps so.....
Not sure on the camera thing, started to make me a little dizzy in the video, and with all the green hexes stairing you in the face.
Still, you're quite right, this has had surprisingly low attention given it checks a few boxes that some here like to see in a game.

@Talbs I've had Greed Corp (both PC and iPad versions) for a while now and when I fist saw Battlemass I thought the same thing (that's why I got it, to compare it to Greed Corp) but the game play is completely different. I like Battlemass more as it is more accessible and pretty much without fluff cluttering its essence of pure strategic (tactical?) gameplay. The touch controls take a bit getting used to but once you get the hang after playing a few rounds the gameplay is just great. Try the free PC or Mac versions which you can download from Desura. Then if you like it get the iOS version. Maybe if we get enough action going here we can convince the developer to lower the price. I picked it up when it was on sale for 3 bucks. This game is underrated (actually it's never really even been rated).

I tracked down Battlemass's developer..maybe we can get him to lower the price if we generate some interest in his game...
