Karateka $2.99 -> $0.99

Can't say I didn't see this happening... though not this soon after launch.

That's my signal to smash the buy button. Loved the original, can't wait to play this modernized deluxe version.

Same here. I just need to free some space first. Even the PC I have iTunes on is now full with backups of apps.

The only reason this price drop blows is because they've opened up the doors to the never-ending "UGGGGGGGGGGGGH, DAT'S IT? I PAY'D A DORRA 2 TAP DE SKREEN? DIS IZ RIDIKOOLIS!" comments. The game is worth every bit of the original $2.99 price-tag. Enjoy your whining fellas.

Impressions seemed very mixed in the main thread about this game. Anyone here have any impressions? Don't want to buy a game like Batman arkanoid, which is huge disk space wise but just average at best. Got enough huge disk space games I can't load.

Also, does this game play well on hdmi tv? If so, I'll get it in a heartbeat.

But in the end, will probably buy it cause I like martial art themed games, but this game had such mixed reviews and such a huge disk size, someone convince me to buy it please.

Is it worth my buck?

Enough said! Haha

Trying to download Karateka, but App Store refuses by complaining of insufficient space. I have 1.1GB free. How much does it need?

I laughed so hard at this comment. Very well said. I played the demo for the PlayStation version and really liked it. I'm curious how the iOS version works. I played the original back in the day and it was one of my favorites so I'm definitely going to get this.

LOL... i love this at its original price, and it's easily recommended at a buck. One tap action/fighting game with great worth.

It's certainly worth a dollar, but do note that it is also a very, very basic game (unnecessarily so), and a step backwards for a platform that is trying to prove that it can bring more to the table than Angry Birds and Cut the Rope.

Not directing this at anyone in particular, but I'm also pretty sure we don't need insecure people taking pre-emptive potshots at those who haven't bought into the "Emperor's New Clothes" of this release. :P

Rule of thumb is to have free space on your device equal to or greater than twice the size of the app listed in the store. Karateka is listed as 675MB, so you'll want around 1.35GB free.
