TWEWY = The World Ends With You

I picked TWETY for the amazing production value and for the gameplay. When I first played it on the Nintendo DS, it was such a unique and fresh experience for me, unlike most other games I've played. To date, it's one of the most fun game that I've ever played, regardless of platform. Bastion to me has really high production value, but the gameplay seemed pretty average to me.

Bastion.

Could just be that I haven't spent enough time with TWEWY though. I bought it when it first came out, but I got the SD build, and had a 4th gen touch... I got the HD build over the XMAS break for my iPad, and enjoyed it quite a bit, but after completing it once, I haven't gone back. Bastion is one that I've already played through three times now. I absolutely love it. =oP

I see that Bastion is winning here... but i think The World Ends With You has better music and gameplay.

Its a tough one deciding between these 2. I think TWEWY has much deeper gameplay and plot but then again I havent feel the need to replay it after spending loads of time on the DS version while I downloaded Bastion the minute it came out even though I had finished it previously and played through it two times again on ios.

It could be that Bastion is more easy to get into as it hasnt really complicated mechanics in play but also you can feel the love that went into making it, everything is so beautiful.

So, my vote is for Bastion, but I think they're quite different so every rpg fan should play through both of them at least once.

Favorite games: LittleWing Crystal Caliburn, Legends of Yore, Hook Worlds, Phoenix HD, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Spectral Souls, Bastion, Avadon, Dariusburst SP, Aquaria, King of Dragon Pass & Starbase Orion

The World Ends With You

Bastion has crisp graphics but the controls (although adjustable) took some getting use to for me.

The World Ends With You gets my vote- endlessly inventive and innovative, engaging story, great setting and art style. It's the best DS game I've played, the best JRPG I've played and one of the best games of this overall console generation. It may also be the best iOS game I've ever played (tough call between that and The Last Express).

Bastion is fun and has great production values, but it's nowhere near as inventive or varied and there's just not as much to it.
