Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

I'm curious too. Looks fun. But how many levels are there? How does the AI react? Is it timed etc...?

Yup, it's decent Pretty much plays like MGS VR Missions. Fun little game but really short. There are more levels coming, though.

Game Impressions

It's gameplay is indeed decent, it's got a lot of potential but the game is very, very, very short.

Only 5 very simple and short levels with little assets. Followed by an IAP ad to get you to buy 5 more levels. I've gotten a lot more bang for my buck from similar titles (Dynamite Jack, Robbery Bob, 21 Days, Stealth Assassin).

If this was just version 0.9 I would have been very happy to spend 99 cents to encourage further development. But given the IAP advert I'm afraid there won't be much added to the vanilla version..

At 99 cents it's overpriced.

EDIT: update has added new and challenging levels.

Thanks for the feedback, it's good to see people talking about our game. I'm one of the devs from Universal Chicken, developers of Master Thief.

Our plan for Master Thief is to charge for new functionality rather than new content. We probably made a mistake in styling the IAP as a level pack, since the main features are actually the new obstacles it introduces. We're already working on extra levels to be added to both packs at no extra charge, and the plan is to continue to do so for a while.

Aside from extra levels we've got plenty of ideas for things that we'd like to add or improve, but we're also interested to hear what players think. Particularly, what are the best and worst parts of the game? So far the majority of our feedback has come from players at trade shows, so the game is somewhat geared towards that kind of experience. People there were more than happy to competitively repeat the 3 levels we had over and over again - some people literally played for hours over the course of the convention trying to beat their times (which is why we thought starting with a small number of levels would be ok). Mobile play is different, though, and we're more than happy to tweak or enhance things to better suit the way people are playing or would like to play.

addink, I hope it pleases you to hear that people buying the game does indeed encourage further development. If nobody was playing it we'd just move on to the next thing and treat it as a learning experience. We'll keep supporting it as long as we've got a player base to support.

Haha, no big deal Truth be told, the only reason I clicked on the thread was because the name was so close to mine. It's a basic need to investigate!

I think I will just download this actually... it's $1, and even if it is a short game, whatevs! Any game that gets referenced as "like MGS VR missions" has my attention automatically.
