App description: FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVESTA pick-up-and-go game with massive battles!

Take part in intense combat with the largest parties in FINAL FANTASY history!
FINAL FANTASY ALL THE BRAVEST is a casual and light-hearted game in which you continuously battle enemies to advance through the many available stages. Defeat foes to level up, which in turn grants you character slots to add more and more members to your party.
Simply tap or drag your finger over a character to unleash an attack. Touch multiple characters in quick succession to experience exhilarating and fast-paced battle unlike anything youve ever played before!
Once every three hours, the Fever option will appear. Once activated, you will be able to attack without waiting for ATB gauges to refill as long as the chocobo-themed music is playing. Deal as much damage as you can before the battle fever ends!

Featuring nostalgic pixel art and music from throughout the FINAL FANTASY series!
Progress through the game to unlock over 20 different classic jobs, including warrior, monk, red mage, and more! Each job brings its own special abilities to the battleground, where you will encounter timeless FINAL FANTASY foes such as behemoths, bombs, and cactuars. At the end of each stage waits a harrowing encounter with a fiendish FINAL FANTASY boss!
The games musical library comes packed with over 30 songs from the series, the majority of which are themes from battle. The perfect soundtrack to listen to as you crush your enemies and see them driven before you!

Track your collection of every character, enemy, and item with in-game catalogs!
The games three catalogs will keep a record of every character that joins your ranks, every enemy you encounter, and every item you obtain. Collect them all and open the catalogs to flip through the nostalgia whenever you like!

Take part in leaderboards and social networking features!
Global leaderboards will rank players based on stats such as the amount of damage dealt in the course of a single Fever. You will also be able to track progress and other feats using the games achievement system. Social networking features allow you to post directly to Twitter, and reward you for doing so by granting additional member slots. Tweet away to increase the size of your party for an even more exhilarating experience!

Purchase premium characters and new game worlds!
The in-game shop offers access to 35 famous characters from a number of FINAL FANTASY titles. Each purchase ensures you will receive a new, random character, and FINAL FANTASY characters who before existed only as polygons have been redrawn here in original pixel art form! Which powerful favorites will join your party? You are also able to purchase additional game stages from FINAL FANTASY VII, FINAL FANTASY X, and FINAL FANTASY XIII. Board airships bound for these new worlds and expand your adventures and collections!

It's not classic Final Fantasy but depending on IAP model I could potentially appreciate an action arcade varient. It's a lazy/efficient idea just to throw existing art assets into a simple arcade style engine and see how it does.

Initial price isn't too bad, after Demon's Score and Theaterythm, not pulling the trigger until reviews and IAP are out.

unlockables?

Are the unlockable characters only for purchase by iap or is there an in-game currency that you can purchase them though as well? If the only way to fufill the character list of players is by iap then I'll pass. Square is an expensive adventure always to unfold.

What bullcrap is this. Taking away the one thing that makes me love the Final Fantasy games - an epic, immersive and emotional story. Leave the battles, throw IAP in.

It's screams cheap cash cow in every single screen.
Waiting for the next Chaos Rings to get my 2013 Final Fantasy iOS fix.

What difference does it make? There are people who swear by Sqeenix (many here are under this category) and they'll pay for whatever shit is thrown in their direction.

PS: Just to clarify, I am not saying this game is shit. I'm just trying to articulate my point.

This looks like it's developed for the first Gameboy Color and smells like fan rip-off.
Just an initial impression, haven't played it yet.

Stick to your roots, Squeenix. Decent games for a decent price.

Hi, you seemed to be lost on the Internets.
This is TouchArcade, where 2$ for a game is too much, 5$ is an outrage, and 10$ or more is putting sugar in their car tanks whilst killing puppies.

Sounds like FF fan service. Also looks like it's an adapted mobile (Japanese semi-smartphone) game.

I have yet to see a breed of person who swears by Square Enix; many fans have a love/hate relationship with the company for occassionally putting out brilliant product (Final Fantasy Dimensions, World Ends With You) in a sea of boring/lazy/awkward products (like All The Bravest appears to be)

You mean like Demon's Score... or the Final Fantasy Rhythme game? Welcome to Square Enix circa 2013.

...I'm just waiting for a Final Fantasy match-3 to come out now that they've hit tower defense, social media, and now tap sim.

I am curious if the freemium model games end up being more successful; although they seem to alienate members here there are enough free to play titles that keep coming out to make me thing that someone is falling for them.
