If I have to judge by the screens it is this app http://appshopper.com/games/x-games-snocross made universal and at four times the price, screens and size are the same.

I bought this before when it was published by espn, but iphone only.

I just picked this up and I am really ashamed of 2xl's horrible job of making this universal, and ipad retina.

It looks like dog crap.

These guys have been around for a while and I can't believe this awful work.

It was bad enough when I was selecting the track that they were blurry and pixelated, but the gameplay screen looked terrible.

The backgrounds look like they were lifted off iPod 1st gen and up scaled.
They added these crappy looking jump ramps instead of using the snow and tailoring it to today's graphics.

Which leads me to the snow, it looks like cardboard cut outs.

Stay far away from this one.

I loved the original at the time, but to call this retina ipad ready, it's only ready for the trash.

The gameplay is not improved but OK, if you can get around being cheated visually from a developer that is capable of doing great visual work.

The spring in the corner of the screen (the load button) looks like a mass of pixels lifted off of an NES screen, and I'm not kidding.
