Hello Everyone! VGSmart (PR guy for Huebrix, Avernum/Avadon, ect.) here to talk about another of my clients. In approximately two weeks we're launching Battle Camp http://battlecamp.pennypop.com/preview
We're sick and tired of "online games" that are nothing more than clicking the "next" button to advance some meaningless stat, but we're not sick of the idea that people want a challenging, fun, but bite-size MMO experience. So here's Battle Camp ![]() Capture and Build a team of 5 monsters ![]() Collect and Train over 135 monsters! Dungeons Filled with Teachable Skills! ![]() Synchronous PvP, Troop Raids, and Troop Wars ![]() Weekly Special Events and Tournaments Battle Camp is a true mid-core MMO, collect monsters, level them up through combat, give them awesome unique skills and abilities, join a troop, go on raids, do LIVE pvp, or just go solo and explore a virtual world. Questions? Comments? http://battlecamp.pennypop.com/preview |

Quote:
Toss on active and passive abilities you can unlock for each monsters (like immediate damage, damage bonuses/resists for elements, ect) that can be played on a cooldown. Before combat, each player can create a team of 5 monsters with whatever elements they choose. Monsters are unlocked by defeating them in the world, more complex monsters drop "puzzle pieces" which must be collected before you can use that monster. Then you can use the collected monsters to assist in leveling up your preferred monster. As you can expect certain monster types are weak against certain elements, so it's quite possible to stack your monster deck with 2 types of monsters rather than mix all 5 (but it will severely limit your board, since 3 damage types will do nothing but add bonus dmg). Somewhere in there should be moving around a virtual world in real time too, just like any online game! -Joe |

A quick update we've delayed launch until March 20th or so to implement features requested by beta testers, including an even greater focus on team events (Troops).
Also I hear we'll have some videos to show very soon! I'll be sure to post them! -Joe |
