Any impressions on this? I enjoy a good strategy game.

My first thought was, this looks like a Syntheticvoid type of game.

My second thought was, it looks like Risk.

My third thought is, is it worth my buck?

Looks a little too complex for my taste, but I might give it a shot if it supports iPad retina. I'm a sucker for a pretty iOS game.

Looks like a combo of risk with some advance wars type battles. Seems like I've heard of this series on consoles or something. This may be a get for me since I skipped Risk due to the ads and other complaints.

Yes, it's worth it... Ignore the "European" it covers all parts of the world... Unless of course you assume we all came form Europe etc...

3 things worry me about this one

1) Judging by videos the English is fairly oddly written in places
2) The tutorial advisor is your typical blond bimbo with a large amount of cleavage showing, right from the freemium games
3) the medals/currency IAP

Is it a proper game or a freemium-like?

I haven't played this, but judging by their other games, namely Wold Conquerer 2, it's not freemium. The medals are just there to help people who aren't great at strategy. I'll pick this up.

In Soviet Russia, whenever anyone mentions Twilight, they are brutally PWNED by Simon Belmont... wait, that happens everywhere.

I played the demo. Don't remember much, but it's it's more advanced than risk, less so than Axis and Allies. It's no Battle Academy or Battle of the Bulge.

Maybe good for an Axis and Allies fan who doesn't mind being restricted to just Europe (which is a big difference).
