App description: From Michael Schacht, the award-winning designer of Coloretto and Zooloretto.

In Schacht's Web of Power games you battle opponents across a landscape of 12thcentury Europe, trying to influence the great powers that rule the Dark Ages. The Duel Card Game depicts that conflict using a set of tiles that players will claim over the course of a game. By tactically placing ownership markers and taking tiles, you will achieve the majority control required to influence the countries and powers of Europe.

Four different opponents, each with their own personality, challenge you at a variety of difficulty levels to make the game very replayable.

Web of Power Card Game: The Duel is built on the same successful MobileEuroCard platform that was used to create Michael Schacht's Gold and Reiner Knizia's High Society, Kingdoms, Money, and Modern Art: The Card Game. Simple gestures allow you to take tiles and move markers. Everything is animated, for a colorful play experience.

Previously released as the tabletop game Richelieu, The Duel has now returned to its intended Dark Ages theming.

The name just rolls off the tongue, no?

No clue how this game work's but as I like the other conversions of Skotos Tech, I'm sure this one will be spot on as well.

I loved Schact's Gold. It's one of my all-time favorite card games. I have every one of Skoto Tech's Knizia titles. Under the hood this game is powered by the same engine. No brainer. I'm buyin'...

Looks good, but I'd live to know if this has sound, etc. I don't think most of the Skotos apps do, do they?

Then you need to dip your fingers in some mayo and smear it all over your iDevice screen for greater REALISM!

Any asycn multi-player?

[Edit] I read from BGG and there is no MP! OMG, now my question is: will there every be MP?

Statement: Star Wars has 2 characters with strange use of grammar: Yoda and HK-47. I pick HK-47 for it is meaner.

Honestly, I was never terribly good at games. - Finch (PoI S2E16)

I'm pretty sure most do now. Basic stuff but there is some sound in most of them now.

Skotos' apps are bare bones and don't have any form of online play, nor even local bluetooth play. I would love them if they did and if they hired somebody a lot more capable to help with the artwork. They are useful for finding out if I like the games. I'd really like to get a real copy of Gold, but I don't think it's ever been released in the US.

Another fine Euro card game release. There's a fair bit of strategy involved. I lost my first two games on easy mode, but they served as learning experiences. I won the third game, but it certainly wasn't a cake walk, and it was still on the easy setting. I will say again that I think async on a game like this, while nice, isn't necessary, because unless you are playing your opponent continually, the game would take forever to complete.

Here's a link to the physical version of the game. It may help out a bit:

Asynch allows you to play with friends online and save your progress to continue late. For play with strangers you need live play or timers like Ascension or per turn. Aside from that, though, these games don't even have any form of local multiplayer.
